DCBaltimore2012's been making quality records for a couple of years or
so.
Maybe you'd like some of them, who knows.
Some News: Keith John
Adams's debut album Sunshine Loft is now available directly
from us. It will be released to stores sometime in the fall. Keith will
be touring the US later this year. Also this fall, we'll be releasing a
limited edition single from Sunshine Loft featuring the song
"Sunshine" and a previously unreleased b-side or two. Finally, the
ever-prolific Keith also has a new mini-album out. It's called A Walk
Around My Flat and is available from Kabuki Kore Records.
Work on The Pincher compilation is still in progress. We've
received some great songs from Acid Mothers Temple, the
Microwaves, Kinski, Xiu Xiu, Volcano the
Bear, Je Suis France, Keith
John Adams, Murder Beach, Dead Raven Choir, the
Fairburn Royals, the Eskimos, and others. This should be a
good one, kids. We'll keep you posted.
Je Suis
France's second album Fantastic Area has been released on Orange Twin Records.

Dances With
Wolves. South East (DCB002; cd-lp). After a decade of
writing and performing his own material,
Adrian Finch (of Elf Power, Summer Hymns, and
Masters of
the Hemisphere) finally releases his first album, under the moniker of
the one-man band Dances With Wolves. Adrian plays every note heard
on "South East", and his melancholy synth-and-guitar driven pop songs
should appeal to fans of East River Pipe and the Magnetic Fields. Simply
excellent.

Je Suis France.
Ice Age (DCB005; vinyl ep). Eight-song seven-inch ep from Athens'
finest rock'n'roll group. Punk,
blues-rock, post-punk, indie-rock, and noise all
in less then ten minutes. Features "Ice Age" from their forthcoming sophomore lp Fantastic Area. Also has five different cover designs, one created by each band member.
Life Without Buildings.
Any Other City (DCB003; cd). DCB2012's flagship release,
Any Other City is the debut full-length from this Glasgow
four-piece. Amazing and distinctive post-punk rock highlighted by Sue
Tompkins' unconventional vocals and lyrics. If the Fall's Mark E.
Smith was a woman and sang for Television the result might sound something
like this. Trifekta Records in
Australia recently released an LWB single with two songs unavailable in
the States, the fantastic "Love Trinity" and wonderful old chestnut "Is Is
and the IRS".

Masters of the Hemisphere.
Permanent Stranger (DCB004; cd-ep). New ep from Athens, Georgia,
pop quartet, who have released three albums on Kindercore. Six new songs
that capture the Masters in a looser, more laid-back mood. Two songs each
from Bren, Sean, and Adrian, including the Pavement-esque title track and
the jaunty piano ditty "When People Were Younger" (one of their best
songs ever).
